cYoga Adjustments For Side Bends, Arm Balances & Twists
Friday, Sep 19th
During these 3 hands-on adjustments’ workshops we will cover how to safely and effectively assists students, regardless of their level and experience. We will carefully dissect dozens of twists and arm balances, understanding the main principles behind them, as well as their own uniqueness.
This workshop is extremely practical, having students work with one another, while we discuss best practices, special cases, and learn to individualize the poses for each body. Creative cYoga Sequencing
Friday, Sep 19th
In this workshop we’ll uncover some of the secrets of cYoga’s intelligent and creative sequencing, so not only will you feel ready to tackle tougher asanas, but also learn to incorporate specific mobility drills, apply static/dynamic stabilization connections and create new neuromuscular pathways. You’ll discover how to progressively gain control, freedom and stability of your movement, as well as minimizing soreness the next day. A must for teachers or those looking to deepen their knowledge about the human body and its functionalities.
Yoga: Inversions and Side Flexions
Friday, Sep 19th
This workshop will focus on lateral flexion (side bends), and how to improve your range to have better inversions and arm balances. Side bending is the least practiced spinal move. Flexion (forward bends) and extension (backbends) are far more common, yet improving side bends will support both, and take your practice to a new level. We’ll work on connecting with the ‘belt’ between ribcage and hips (lats, QL, obliques, transverse abs and rectus abdomini), gain freedom of movement and discover new stability points for Handstand and Pincha Mayurasana. Very interesting and unique poses will be covered!
Effortless Handstands: Alignment, Drills & Floats
Saturday, Sep 20th
This very thorough and comprehensive workshop is filled with information and drills on how to open your shoulders to have a real straight line, how to lock ribcage and pelvis, engage legs and be able to balance. We’ll also cover compression and dissociation exercises to be able to press into Handstand, work on the “negatives” (coming down slowly from Handstand), and we’ll play with different leg shapes to improve strength and balancing skills. Come ready to spend time upside down, do floor conditioning and lots of abs!
Yoga: Active Hip Openers
Saturday, Sep 20th
Often, hip openers are taught too statically, with no breath emphasis or flow, but there’s a lot of room for exploration, movement and active strengthening that can enhance the difficult process of “unlocking the hips”. This workshop will cover various elements to articulate and actively release the hips, while preserving the integrity of other lower joints, like knees or ankles. We will dive into postures like Eka Pada Sirsasana, Yogidandasana, squats, arm balances or linking those with inversions. Everyone hits a wall, so this workshop is relevant to all levels.
cYoga Adjustments For Hip Openers & Inversions
Saturday, Sep 20th
In this workshop we will dissect the main principles of hip openers, the most important limitations, what do look for and what to avoid as a practitioner and an adjuster. We will discuss best practices, special cases, and learn to individualize the poses for each body. Ideal to take this with the other 2 adjustments’ workshops as concepts will build up and we’ll work on very different asanas.
Yoga: Hip Flexors, Psoas And Abs’ Role For Backbends
Sunday, Sep 21st
Carmen is known for helping her students find space in their backbends, go deeper than ever, without any discomfort. In this workshop we will: (1) work on shoulder mobility, respecting the integrity of that joint; (2) bend thoracic spine in conjunction with cervical extension and lumbar strengthening, (3) activate and lengthen hip flexors, analyzing the role of the abdominal wall, obliques, gluts and the relationship between pelvis and spine. This workshop is for everyone but highly recommended if you usually run into low back compression or lack of strength. You’ll gain important insights into which part of your anatomy may need to readjust to move forward in your backbend journey.
Asana Clinic: In-Depth Spine, Hips & Shoulders Study
Sunday, Sep 21st
This workshop is 50% theory, 50% practice. We’ll break down the main limitations people have when it comes to backbends & hip openers, how to give a proper assessment and what drills, postures and variations would be most beneficial for each case. Just as no 2 students are the same, no 2 backbends, or hip openers, are the same either. Ideal for teaches or those looking to develop a sharp eye and understand their mechanics.
cYoga Adjustments For Backbends
Sunday, Sep 21st
In this last adjustments’ workshop we will cover the biggest (and scariest!) family of asanas, backbends. We’ll study proper form for spine, hips & shoulders, main limitations, do’s and dont’s and how to individualize different variants for each student. Ideal to take this with the other 2 adjustments’ workshops as concepts will build up and we’ll work on very different asanas.

WEEKEND WORKSHOP
Sep 25th, Thu to 28th, Sun
SINGAPORE

Thursday, Sep 25th
Adjustments For Hip Openers & Arm Balances
In the hands-on adjustments’ workshops we will cover how to safely and effectively assists students in a variety of arm balances, regardless of their level and experience. We will also dissect the complexity of hip openers, the most important limitations what to look for and what to avoid as a practitioner and an adjuster. We’ll discuss best practices, special cases, and learn to individualize the poses for each body. While it is geared toward teachers, you do not have to be one to attend. Ideal to take this with the other adjustments’ workshop as concepts will build up and we’ll work on different asanas.
Creative Sequencing
In these 2 sequencing workshops we’ll uncover some of the secrets for an intelligent and creative sequence so, not only you’ll ready to tackle tough asanas, but also learn to incorporate specific drills and create neuromuscular pathways. You’ll discover how to progressively gain control, freedom and stability in your movements, as well as minimizing soreness the next day. A must for teachers and those looking to deepen their knowledge about the human body and its functionalities. Ideal to be taking with the other creative sequencing workshop as concepts will build up and we’ll cover different topics.
Yoga: Twists & Forearm Stand
In this first, only-asana, workshop, will focus on all abs’ layers, lats, QL, proper engagement, unique arm balances and spinal rotations. We’ll break down several “active” twists (no-bind), as well as more “passive” ones (binding), understanding the differences between them and how to maximize rotation & compression. We’ll also find some upside down time to put it all together. By unlocking this kind of range, a lot of overall stability and strength will be quickly gained.
Friday, Sep 26th
Adjustments For Backbends & Inversions
In this packed adjustments’ workshop we will cover the biggest (and probably scariest) families of asanas: backbends and handstands. Despite appearances, these 2 families have a lot of elements in common and can help each other tremendously. We’ll study proper form for spine, hips & shoulders, main limitations, do’s and dont’s and how to individualize different variants for each student. Ideal to take this with the other adjustments’ workshops as concepts will build up and we’ll work on different asanas.
Creative Sequencing
In this second sequencing workshop we’ll continue to uncover the secrets for an intelligent and creative sequence, tackle harder asanas, learn to incorporate specific drills and create new neuromuscular pathways. Perfect for teachers and those looking to deepen their knowledge about the human body and its functionalities. Ideal to be taking with the other creative sequencing workshop.
Yoga: Splits & Arm Balances
This workshop will pay special attention to our front & lateral splits, hip abduction/adduction, flexion & extension. We’ll actively work that range and apply it to several arm balances & inversions that require that kind of leg activation in order to float. This is one of the most unique sessions that’ll make us look at our legs from a new vantage point and maximize their potency.
Saturday, Sep 27th
Yoga: Hips & Hamstrings
This workshop will cover the elements necessary to actively mobilize hips and hamstrings in a safe way, protecting knees, while involving some of the strongest muscles (gluts, flexors, adductors, obliques…). We’ll visit both internal (IR) and external (ER) hip rotation in a non-threatening, multilevel way, so that poses like Yogidandasana (aka, foot-to-armpit) or Eka Pada Sirsasana (leg behind the head) will be part of your repertoire.
Effortless Handstand & Inversions: Line, Drills & Jumps
This workshop will focus on a variety of entries into Handstand & Pincha, drills, as well as partner work, to improve endurance, alignment and end of range, without sacrificing stability. We’ll pay especial attention to shoulder flexion, scapular elevation, thoracic isolation and pelvic tilts. We’ll also look for individual blind spots that prevent you from advancing in our Handstand or Pincha practice.
Restorative Movement
This unique workshop uses gentle movement pattern re-conditioning techniques developed by Dr. Feldenkrais. Our goal is to create opportunities for clear sensory input via gentle and repetitive exercises in order to aid the nervous system to develop new motor adaptations for every day movement. The entire workshop is based on gentle pattern re-conditioning, spending most of the time on the floor exploring how it feels when our bodies move.
Sunday, Sep 28th
Yoga: Backbends, Finding More Thoracic Movement, Shoulder Flexion & Lumbar Support
This workshop will heavily focus on proper spinal segmentation, understanding the role of the scapulas as well as TVA & psoas. We’ll work on plenty of specific isolated moves before putting things together with asanas like Eka Pada Rajakapotasana or Scorpions. If your mid back feels ‘rigid’, your low back or shoulders ‘hurt’, or you ‘can’t find’ your abs when you do backbends, this class is for you!
Handstands, Presses, Core & Abs
This workshop will pay special attention to hip flexion, quads and psoas, in order to hover, tuck, compress or press into Handstand or Pincha. Expect floor drills, wall and partner collab, as well as a thorough wrists’ warm up, quads’ activation and a break down of the different shoulder positions required. The workshop is for all levels but ideal for those that can kick by themselves into Handstand against a wall.
Sound Bath: Physical and Mental Release
When reaching full body relaxation with the help of sound, we offer an opportunity to the nervous system to reset and recover areas that require healing. Once physical relaxation is achieved, we will use chakra energy to release and relax the mind.

Ven a explorar!
