We will start the workshop releasing the muscles involved in the process of breathing and creating more space inside the body. We will then explore the main tendencies in modern breathwork - hypoventilation vs hyperventilation - and we will close the workshop finding ways to combine pranayama, frequency and meditation.

Mobility Patterns of Movement, Limitations and Ranges For Neck, Shoulders, Elbows and Wrists

A workshop 50% practice and 50% theory where we will study movement as well as challenges we can find in the upper body joints, neck, shoulders, elbows and wrists. Very interesting for teachers and people who want to understand how the body moves, why it hurts and how to maintain the integrity of the points of movement. We will practice a few asana and mobility exercises while we cover the theory. Bring a notebook. For all levels.
Philosophy: Quantum Physics and Indian Philosophy

How much did the rishis understand? We know the Indian wise men and women of old could not have used the same language we do now, but did they understand the fundamental implications of the most current findings in quantum physics? After this lecture, we may argue that they did. We will start defining the fundamental unresolved question that created the field of quantum mechanics, we will explore possible theories to explain scientific findings, and finally we will see how these new theories are reflected in Indian Philosophy. Come ready for a wild ride.

One of the most unique workshops we offer where we will explore movements we don't usually practice as well as asana that may be more unknown. Anatomically, we will pay special attention to the spine, neck, internal rotation of the shoulder and adductors. We will discover new stability points in the body and we will improve our strength with inversions and arm balances. Don't miss it. All levels.

Yoga Workshop: Active Hip Openers

During this workshop we will work on the necessary elements to engage the hips in an organic, active and safe way, protecting the knees and ankles, while taking advantage of some of the largest muscles in the body (gluts, quads, hamstrings...) We will improve the external and internal rotation while we explore poses like Yogidandasana, squats, arm balances or inversions. 2 hours of work on the lower body that will make time fly! Yoga Workshop: The Magical Recipe for Backbends: Chest, Flexors and Shoulders

Carmen is known for helping her students find space in their backbends. In this workshop we will: (1) work on our shoulder mobility, without pain, respecting their integrity; (2) open the thoracic back while protecting the cervical area and strengthening the lumbar: and (3) we will engage and lengthen the flexors, analyzing the role of the abdominal wall, gluts and the relationship between pelvis and the spine. This workshops is for everyone but highly recommended if you feel limitations in your practice.
